Our testing notes.
Pherazone For Gay Men at least clears the lowest bar in pheromone evaluation: it names its compounds. Androstenone and androstenol are both well-discussed in the enthusiast community, and they make sense together in theory, androstenone bringing masculine edge and sexual presence, androstenol softening that edge with social approachability. A reasonable pairing on paper. The trouble is that 'on paper' is about as far as the confidence goes.
What's missing is everything the serious community actually uses to evaluate a product: named concentrations, forum field reports, independent user testing, any presence on Pherotruth or r/pheromones. Pherazone has been flagged repeatedly in those communities for concentration claims that don't survive scrutiny. This SKU lists a more modest '3X Pheromones' rather than the notorious '125mg/oz' figure, but a label change doesn't fix the brand's credibility problem. Without dosage transparency, there's no way to know whether you're getting an effective amount of either compound or a trace that amounts to a marketing footnote.
The bundle pricing, seven bottles for $292, is framed as a deal, but it's a big commitment to a product with no community track record. Androstenone in particular is dose-sensitive enough that 'some' is very different from 'the right amount,' and without knowing what you're getting, you can't meaningfully adjust your application. New to pheromones and just want to experiment? A single bottle from a transparent vendor would teach you more for less. If you're experienced, you already know which brands have earned the community's trust, and this isn't one of them.
