About Phero.

Phero exists because most pheromone content online is either breathless marketing or cynical debunking. We wanted something in between: careful testing, transparent methodology, honest conclusions.

Why we started.

Pheromone fragrances occupy a strange space in the market. The science is real but limited. The products range from genuinely interesting to outright fraudulent. The marketing is almost universally dishonest about what these products can and can't do.

Phero is run by two independent reviewers — one male, one female — who got tired of watching people spend money based on reviews written by people who'd never opened the bottle. So we started testing them ourselves.

Our goal is simple: buy every bottle, test it properly, explain what we found. No affiliate revenue shaping our scores. No brands buying their way into our rankings. Just two independent editors who buy everything at retail — one covering men's fragrances, one covering women's.

Founder of Phero and lead reviewer for all men's products. Every bottle is purchased at retail and worn for a minimum of six weeks before scoring. No gifted product. No brand relationships. No exceptions.

Fragrance writer and beauty editor responsible for all women's pheromone reviews on Phero. Each product is tested across real-world social settings over a minimum of six weeks per bottle before a score is assigned.

✓ Cite scientific sources when we make factual claims

✗ Accept money for a review or recommendation
✗ Accept free product without disclosing it
✗ Change a score because a brand complained
✗ Hide negative findings about a sponsored category
✗ Use "affiliate friendly" scores to protect commission rates
✗ Write fake urgency or false scarcity claims
