◆ Accessibility statement

Accessibility statement.

Pheromone Scout aims to be usable by everyone. This page covers what we've done, where we've fallen short, and how to tell us when something doesn't work.

Our target

WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

Pheromone Scout targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance. The site is a static publication built with Astro, which means the HTML is generated at build time with no client-side rendering required to read content.

What we've done:

  • Headings follow a logical hierarchy on every page
  • All images have alt text
  • Interactive elements are keyboard-accessible and have visible focus states
  • Color contrast ratios for body text meet the 4.5:1 minimum
  • No content relies on color alone to convey meaning
  • The cookie consent banner is keyboard-navigable and screen-reader compatible
Known gaps

Where we're not there yet.

We haven't yet done a formal screen reader audit across the full catalogue. Some older product pages may have inconsistent heading hierarchy. Score breakdown charts are visual and don't currently have text equivalents.

These are on the list. If any of them are blocking you specifically, write to us and we'll prioritize the fix.
