Our testing notes.
A1 is less a cologne than a raw ingredient. LAL sells it as a dropper of one molecule, androstadienone, the putative pheromone the community most often links to emotional warmth rather than sexual pull. The brand is among the names r/pheromones and Pherotruth trust most, which is part of why its single-molecule bottles get used as reference points.
Its calling card in community reports is what people call 'fallout': a lingering sense of comfort and attachment that builds over repeated wear instead of hitting all at once. Most users add a drop or two to round off a harsher, androstenone-forward blend. These are subjective reports, context-dependent, not guarantees.
I find our bond to be closer, her and I are definitely stronger friends than we were. It wasn't overnight that this happened; it took at least a week or so of me seeing her a few times a week with this on till I started noticing the change.
Because it's unscented and single-molecule, A1 only makes sense if you already mix your own. A beginner is better off with a finished LAL cologne like Wolf. This is a tool for someone who already knows what they're tweaking, and at $32.75, a cheap way to start.
