Our testing notes.
New Pheromone Additive's attribution matters: it's made by LaCroy Chemicals and distributed through Love Scent. Love Scent doesn't formulate it and has limited visibility into its composition. Forum members put it bluntly, that 'Love Scent likely has no clue' about the specific compound ratios. The community labels the main active as androstadienone, which the forum describes as producing androstenone-like effects but with more warmth and bonding character and less raw aggression.
NPA's primary use is as an additive, not a standalone. The standard approach is 2 dabs applied directly to the neck from the bottle, then layered with a cover cologne and optionally another product. At this dose it's described as a 'hard hitter' for sexual and attraction effects. Exceeding it is easy and counterproductive.
"Love Scent's flagship unscented additive for men. Oil-based formula designed for mixing into your existing cologne. Ten-plus years of community use and well-documented results."
The NPA + Wolf (LAL) combination deserves special mention. It shows up as a recommended pairing across dozens of threads, endorsed even by users mainly discussing other brands. As one put it: 'My all-time favorite combo is NPA from LaCroy with a couple of sprays of Wolf. It's perfect for any occasion — leader vibe but still keeps things spicy. The self-effects are wonderful.'
The formula controversy is real. The brown-bottle original is what veteran users built their opinions on. The current clear-bottle version is debated: some find it equivalent, others notice a different smell profile and different effects. Newer buyers are working with the current version, which means some historical reviews may not fully apply to what's on sale today.
3 mg total pheromone content per 10 ml bottle: 1 mg AndrosteNONE, 1 mg AndrosteNOL, 1 mg AndrostaDIENONE, and an oil base.
