Beta Androsterone is the youthful counterpart to alpha androsterone in Pheromone Treasures' bargain single-molecule line: a pure, unscented concentrate at 1mg/ml for under ten dollars.
Androsterone overall reads as status and trust. Community lore holds the alpha form skews mature and stable, while the beta (epi) form skews more youthful and charismatic. Having it isolated lets a DIY mixer tune that status character precisely.
As one molecule, it's a tool, not a finished cologne, and the alpha/beta difference is fine-grained. But at this price, with clear labeling, it's an easy staple for experienced blenders. Beginners should choose a finished product.
