Our testing notes.
Captain Oil Version and Captain Spray share the same eight-molecule formula at the same concentration: 7.5mg per 10ml, 22.5mg per 30ml. The difference is entirely in the delivery. Oil format means slower release, longer longevity (8–10 hours vs 6–8 for spray), and more precise control over how much you apply.
In side-by-side testing across the same contexts, the oil and spray produced comparable social effects. Where the oil had an edge was in evenings out — the slower diffusion felt more natural in social situations where a spray might project more aggressively.
"Same formula, different delivery. The oil holds 2–3 hours longer and gives more control over dosing — the right pick for evening wear."
The 10ml dropper at $29.99 is the same entry price as the spray. If you're debating between the two, consider your primary use case: office or daytime wear favours the spray for speed; evening or controlled application favours the oil.
